ANGELS AND DEMONS

I haven’t read the book yet unlike to that of the first movie, The Da Vinci Code. My friend Suzzy, who had already read the book said that, the movie didn’t had much of what was going on in the book. She was a bit disappointed. Like many, I usually read the book first before watching the movie version of it. But sometimes, when my laziness gets the better of me, I just go watch the movie first and then read the book. This way, I can already picture out my characters, the plot, and etc. Obviously, this one is the latter. I watched it yesterday with a friend and it was great. The movie had an interesting storyline, action, suspense, mystery and Ewan McGregor in it. It made me wish I had watched the live telecast when Pope Benedict XVI was announced successor of the late Pope. This is a must-see movie and I rate it 4/5 stars.

STAR TREK

I can proudly say that I am a fan; series and movies. I remember back in the days, my dad and me used to watch the series together. My mom would usually say, “If you keep watching that (referring to the alien race Klingons) your face will become like that someday.” Of course, it didn’t have an effect on me. I heard the movie is nice so I watched it this afternoon. It was awesome. The special effects as expected were superb. Plus they had Leonard Nimoy, the original Spok, in the movie. Classic! Although, I was actually expecting to see more alien races onboard the vessel. Nevertheless, I think it lived up to the expectation of the previous Star Trek movies and series. This movie is worth your every penny to watch. I rate this 4.5/5 stars.
